     A septic system is a connected system of components put together underground that will use natural processes to treat wastewater on-site. If you are doing construction in the country or "out of town" more than likely you will not have municipal water or sewer available to tap into. MacDonald Excavation can design and install septic systems for the construction of new homes or provide services for building contractors for projects that need to add, expand, or replace septic systems. We provide the state permitting and schedule a local inspection before and during the septic system installation. We have been helping contractors and homeowners for over 25 years with the process of having septic systems installed and connecting to water and sewer lines.

     When choosing a septic system, we work closely with you to be sure the septic system is the right one for your location and right for your size family or business. It depends on the size of your lot and where your septic system will be placed as to the design of the septic system. The type of septic system will be determined according to the site and the soil where the system will be located. If the yard is spacious and we have plenty of room we can choose a gravity-fed system, where the leach field is lower than the house. If your house is on a smaller house lot then we choose a system that is better suited for the space we have to work with.

     For new construction that has access to town sewer and water connections, we can make that town sewer and water connection for you.
